With the victory of Barack Obama I thought I'd take a look at a video that shows that music video can do more than just entertain. This video seen by more than 10 million people uses the soaring inspiring words of Obama spoken and sung simultaneously by celebrities who endorse. An interesting point - the film clip's director Jesse Dylan is the son of folk singing legend Bob Dylan. Enjoy this clip that will go down in history with the famous election it accompanied.

This was one of the biggest songs of 2007 and is catchy to the point of being now annoying. A great piece of pop song writing and capped off with a featuring performance from rapper JayZ. Rihanna made herself into a houseold name with this song and music video and struck a deal with covergirl cosmetics to take the music - fashion - commercialisation thing to a new level. Here it is!

This video from pop princess Rihanna is set in a dungeon torture chamber and has some very dark S & M overtones in it (great for the kddies watching it on video hits in the morning). She continues to crank out the hits and gets millions of hits on youtube for every clip she releases. Enjoy!

If you want to shed a good girl image then releasing a track called 'promiscuous' is a good start. Nelly Furtado is a very talented song writer/performer and here she dumps the wholesome 'like a bird' image for a down and dirty one. Helped by uber R&B producer Timbaland. Watch out for the cameos in the clip (including Justin Timberlake)

This amazing video makes it look like the floor is moving. It's not. What is moving (apart from the band's gifted lead singer/dancer JK) is the whole room!!! British music video director Jonathan Glazer has built a room in a aircraft hangar - fixed a camera on one wall and put the whole room on wheels and got a team of people to push it around/ With the camera fixed it doesn't look like anything in the room is moving execpt the floor

Jamiroqui's funky grooves and the lead singers great dancing work with the 'moving floot" to create a truly memorable clip.
