Music Videos - The latest and greatest music clips.

Las Vegas rockers Panic at the Disco came up with this catchy little tune. Dressed like Sgt Peppers Loney hearts club band on ice (like a disney iceskating show) this clip features over 40 extras. Directed by Shane Drake.

Another beautifully made clip to a great song. The lead singer of Travis - Francis Healy is hunted down by children in this clip. They use everything from sticks and stone to arrows to a world war 2 bomber. John Hardwick's smart direction and use of slow motion makes it fit in with the beauty of the song. There are love allusions to Hitchcock's North by Northwest and Kubrick's The Shining. Music video film making at its best. Enjoy

Another video from the man most credit with lifting the humble music video into an art form. French visual master Michel Gondry takes a catchy tune from Australian retro rockers The Vines and turns it into pure magic with the band playing in an empty hall then filling the hall with dozens of different looking bands all playing the same tune. The drum break moment is pure Gondry. I hope you really enjoy this one!

What started off as an avant garde punk art school band turned into one of the world's most loved rock acts. This great song is produced by the legendary Brian Eno and his flourishes can be heard. The clip is almost performance art with Byrne at his best with choreography by Toni Basil (of 'Mickey' fame). Enjoy.

Terence Donovan was a 1960's fashion photographer in London - for Robert Palmer's famous film clip he used a team of models and dressed them exactly the same way with the same hair and make up to be members of Palmer's backing band. Their bland facial expressions resemble the work of painter Patrick Nagel and this clip is most dfinitely one of the iconic music videos of the 1980's and a moment where fashion and music . Here it is!

Bachelorette Bjork
Bachelorette Bjork

I couldn't think of a better video to show what I am on about in this blog than this collaboration between Icelandic song maiden Bjork and french visual artiste extraordinaire Michel Gondry. They have collaborated seven times on music videos but this is my favourite - a story within a story within a story it just keeps going until the original story unravels leading to a chain of unravelling - why waste time explaining when I can show you - enjoy

stay tuned for more great videos like this one in two days time
